What the herd clears

Goats are browsers, not grazers — they prefer leaves, vines, and brush over grass, and they strip vegetation up to about 5–6 feet high. That makes them ideal for the plants machines and sprays struggle with.

Built for brush. Goats digest seeds so invasives don't spread, and they reach into thickets people and mowers can't.
Kudzu Chinese privet English ivy Blackberry briars Honeysuckle Wisteria Poison ivy Greenbrier Brush & undergrowth Small saplings Overgrown fence lines Retention pond edges

Honest note: goats clear leaves, vines, and soft growth — they don't remove tree trunks, stumps, or debris. If your lot needs those gone too, we'll tell you up front what the herd can and can't handle.

Regrowth passes: tough invasives like kudzu and privet often take a second pass to really knock back. Repeat visits are part of the plan — and priced lower than the first clearing.

Who we clear for

From a backyard that's disappeared under ivy to common areas an HOA can't keep up with — if it's overgrown, the herd can help.

Walkthrough

When the target area is grazed down, we walk it with you, haul everything out, and talk about a regrowth pass if you want one.

Why goats instead?

Machines and herbicides both work — but each leaves something behind. Here's the honest comparison.

Common questions

First time hiring goats? Here's what most people ask.

Do I need a fence?

No. We bring portable fencing and set the grazing area up ourselves. If you already have a sound fence, that can help — we'll check it on the site look.

How long does a job take?

It depends on acreage and how thick the growth is. A typical residential lot takes days, not weeks. We'll give you an expected timeframe with your quote, and we check on the herd throughout the job.

Will the goats eat my good plants too?

Goats eat what's inside their fencing — so before we start, we walk the property with you and fence off (or flag) anything you want kept: gardens, ornamentals, and young trees. Tell us your keepers up front and we'll protect them.

What about poison ivy?

Goats love it and aren't affected by it the way people are — it's one of the best reasons to hire a herd instead of pulling it by hand.

Do the goats stay overnight? Who looks after them?

Yes, the herd stays on site inside the fencing with water and shelter, and we monitor them during the job. You don't feed, water, or manage them — that's our job.

Will one visit get rid of kudzu for good?

Honestly, deep-rooted invasives like kudzu and privet usually need repeat grazing to exhaust the roots. The first pass opens the land up; a follow-up pass knocks regrowth back hard. We'll recommend a plan for your property rather than promise a one-and-done.
